主任务，指用户在使用系统时所从事的核心活动；在 HCI 中常用于评估次要任务对注意力与驾驶等的干扰程度。

"The main activity a user is engaged in when interacting with a system, used in HCI to assess distraction and attentional demand of secondary tasks."

在汽车 HMI 中，主任务默认是 driving（驾驶）。评估一个车载功能是否过度干扰驾驶员，本质上是在评估它从主任务「抢」走了多少注意力资源。
